After this shoot, I feel so much more excited to experiment with harsh lighting! Styled shoots are also a great way to build a portfolio in a certain location. I was super happy with how a lot of these photos turned out despite the lighting conditions being not-ideal in some cases. In this case, I played around a lot more with harsh lighting (something I typically avoid). You can take a lot more risks when you don’t have a paying client. While styled shoots often lack real story telling, they are super helpful for creating space to try new things. Every detail was perfectly planned and made for a super fun and creative shoot.
